our mission

At Hotel Julamis we strive to become the best choice in Merida's Historic District for temporary lodging by providing excellent service at the best value. We not only plan to be a Great Small Hotel, but to create a differentiated experience capitalizing on personal service, and a unique location in one of the most attractive parts of Merida Centro.

location and description

Hotel JULAMIS is situated on the corner of Calle 53 x Calle 54 within Merida's Historic District. It lies in an area close to Parque La Mejorada, which contains some of Merida's finest colonial and French-inspired architecture. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. From here guests can walk to many plazas and museums such as: El Zocalo, La Catedral, Parque Santa Ana, the Anthropology Museum, the Yucatecan Song Museum, Paseo De Montejo, the recently opened Museum of Popular Art, and other downtown attractions.

The hotel is composed of two floors accommodating six spacious guest rooms, one large suite, a second floor terrace with a plunge pool, lobby, central patio with garden and water fountain, kitchen and a four car parking garage. Guest rooms are fully furnished and newly remodeled with private bathrooms, ceiling fans or AC units. The hotel was recently restored with passion and talent in a typical Mexican style.

A complimentary continental breakfast that includes French toasts, coffee, fresh cut fruits and cereal is served every morning in the courtyard. The hotel includes common areas where visitors can play board games, watch TV, listen to music, read from our book exchange library, or just simply relax on a hammock by the garden. Our small size assures a personalized service and a tranquil atmosphere.

From the front desk, guests can book adventurous tours or find information about how to get to nearby Mayan Ruins, jungle reserves or sleepy beach towns; using Yucatan inexpensive and efficient  public transportation system. ]
